With this year’s Great British Bake off in full swing, we have decided to once again look for Didsbury’s very own star baker in the second annual Great Didsbury Bake off.
As part of this year’s West Fest celebrations, local bakers are being invited to enter their best cake (any flavour) to be judged by our esteemed panel of judges.
So if you’re a budding baker and fancy your shot at the title, as well as helping to raise money for charity in the process, put on your pinny and get involved!
How to Enter
To enter the competition, simply register your interest by emailing us at help@thymeoutdeli.co.uk. Then all you need to do is bring along your freshly prepared cake to the back garden of the deli by 4pm on Saturday 31st August 2013.
The lucky winner will receive a £20 Thyme Out voucher and more importantly, the title of Didsbury’s Best Baker 2013. The Didsbury Bake Off is free to enter but after the competition, we ask that you leave your cake with us for us to sell the following day, with all proceeds going to the Friends of Lancasterian charity (Lancasterian School).
Rules of Entry
The only rules of entry are that the cake (or cupcakes) needs to be large enough to serve 12 people (9 inch tin for a single cake) and only cakes from amateur home bakers will be accepted. All cakes will be judged on both presentation and taste and the decision by the panel of judges decision is final.
