Summer menu launch – say hello to our new dishes!

The weather may have missed the memo, but it’s officially summertime! To celebrate, we have been busy in the test kitchen, creating some exciting new dishes for you! Our resulting new spring / summer menu was launched last week and we’ve already had some great feedback and comments.

We’ve made a quite few changes to our menu this time around – bringing in a new range of six deliciously melty grilled cheese sandwiches, as well as some fab new brunch dishes, burgers and salads. For the health concious, our new Overnight Oats dish features almond milk, banana, pistachios, pecans and a splash of maple syrup. We have also upgraded our teas and now stock a delicious range of loose leaf infusions from the lovely Fallowfield based Parched Tea.

Exciting plans and check out our new look!

After being open seven and a half years (can you believe how fast time flies?!) and having grown and developed as a business significantly over this time, 2015 is set to be a big year for Thyme Out. You may have seen us tweeting about a new pop-up venue in Manchester city centre and we also have big plans afoot for our garden area. The Best Breakfast in the UK?

We’ve started 2015 with a bang…we’ve once again been nominated for the ‘Shake up Your Wake Up’ Best Breakfast Award.

Our speciality breakfast Eggs Cocotte is shortlisted in the category of hot breakfast, along with our Homemade Granola Bowl for cold breakfast.

Lights Fest after party!

The 4th December sees the annual switching on of the Christmas tree lights in West Didsbury. This year, instead of letting the occasion go by, we have decided to join in the festivities and hold a bit of a shin-dig.

From 7pm onwards, straight after the lights have been switched on and the raffle drawn, we’ll be joined by Nicky McCallan, who will be providing the soundtrack for the evening and performing an acoustic set. Never ones to miss the opportunity for a good bit of grub, we’ll be cooking up some Christmas-Market-Style German sausages along with other festive treats to tempt every tastebud. Top all this off with steaming hot mugs of traditional mulled wine, craft beers and local cider and you’ve got yourself an after party!

The eagle-eyed amongst you may well have noticed that we have recently added a few new dishes to our menu for the winter season.

First of all, to bring a bit of Hawaiian sunshine to the shorter winter days, we bring you the ‘Aloha Burger’…two beef burger patties, teriyaki pineapple, avocado, deep fried bacon and wasabi aioli. Think tropical sunshine meets all-American hero.
