Inspired by a starter dish eaten in a Michelin starred restaurant, breakfast just got posh! A creamy mushroom sauce base is topped with two poached duck eggs, grilled extra mature cheddar and finished with a wild mushroom foam. All served in a cappuccino cup and accompanied by dippy soldiers.
Healthy doesn’t have to mean boring! This bowl of healthy yumminess comprises homemade granola with oats, almonds, coconut and dried fruits accompanied by fresh greek yoghurt and honey. A little taste of sunshine on a rainy Manchester day!
Here at Thyme Out, we’ve long advocated the notion of breakfast being the most important meal of the day. And that’s exactly what these awards celebrate and promote! Organised by the organised by HGCA, a division of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), the Shake Up Your Wake Up campaign culminates in National Breakfast Week – the nation’s biggest celebration of breakfast from 25th – 31st January.
